Road Projects for the Week of April 17 - 23, 2021

Update as of 4/20:

Pavement activity on SE 8th Street between 214th Ave SE and 218th Ave SE and along 218th Ave SE north of SE 8th Street has begun in preparation for new asphalt placement. One lane will be open through the day, and two lanes will be open at night with flaggers directing traffic. Work is scheduled to be finished Friday 4/23 but is subject to change.

The following road work projects are scheduled in Sammamish for this week. Schedules may change due to weather and/or equipment availability.

Issaquah Fall City Road

The closure between 247th Place SE and Klahanie Dr. SE will open at 2:30 PM on April 16, 2021.

There are many people, businesses and organizations to thank and acknowledge. Stay tuned for a ceremonial ribbon cutting video with community acknowledgements.

*Safety Reminder – Please observe the contractor’s “Sidewalk Closed” and “No Trespassing” signs at all times.

  • At 2:30 PM, Friday April 16th, the roadway will open up to the public between 247th PL SE and Klahanie. During work hours the public will encounter short term (day time) lane closures as necessary to complete punchlist work. One of the significant items of work to occur after the opening of the roadway will be third party utilities taking a lane to finish installation of their vaults, lids, and make their necessary connections.
  • By May 1st, all punchlist work is schedule to be completed and traffic control will not be on the road until the contractor returns in June to begin the excavation for the stream mitigation work. We anticipate the third party utilities will be competed with this work by May 1, though this date is subject to change.

Daytime project work hours are 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Saturday work hours: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Please visit Issaquah Fall City Road Phase 1 Construction Updates and its Three-week look-ahead on Connect Sammamish for full project updates.
