Please be patient with us as we transition to the SDC. We are working to update our permit applications and handouts to reflect the SDC’s new numbering system. We anticipate completing these updates by mid-January 2022. Please refer to the Reverse Outline to help locate any code sections that have been renumbered.

Project Background - For a complete project background, please refer to the Phase II Staff Report.

The City of Sammamish is in the process of updating development regulations for residential zoning and creating a unified development code. A unified development code combines the various development related code sections in the Sammamish Municipal Code into a single title including zoning and subdivision standards. Unified development codes are typically easier to administer and interpret for the both the City and the public. Please follow this link to see the UDC Outline.

The code updates will address topics such as the design of residential subdivisions, protection of natural features, construction monitoring, code enforcement, and residential street standards. The City, through consultation with the Planning Commission and City Council have identified eight topic areas that will be addressed in the Phase Two development regulations update.

This project is limited to the residential zones as shown in the zoning map below. Residential zones are highlighted in yellow and orange. This project does not include the Town Center or the commercial districts.
