Below is your three week look-ahead for 7/3 - 7/24

Update as of 7/24:

Issaquah-Fall City Road remains closed for construction. Local access will be maintained during the closure. The closure between 247th Place SE and Klahanie Dr. SE is expected to last through December 2020.

  • The roundabout at SE Issaquah-Beaver Lake Rd./256th Ave. SE/SE 32nd St/E Beaver Lake Dr. SE is operational. Only final touch-ups are remaining, which are being scheduled once all the parts arrive. The sidewalk, final curb adjustment, and curb ramps around the intersection will be made at the end of July/early August. The new street lights are expected to be installed and operational by the end of July.
  • Construction of the bridge in underway. The contractor has completed the columns for each of the bridge sections. The contractor is currently working on the pile caps and the access road for the girder delivery. The girders are expected to begin delivery in 2 weeks.
  • Between 242nd and 247th Ave. SE, traffic remains on the south side of the roadway.Work continues along the north half of the roadway in this area. The contractor and the utility companies will be working on relocations in these limits. Grading work and concrete curb and sidewalk placement will continue through July. The contractor will continue to work in the intersection of 247th Ave. SE near the middle school. Placement of asphalt is expected to occur at the end of July.

Please note that during peak delays, using the project detour route, Issaquah Beaver Lake Road to Issaquah Pine Lake Road, may result in shorter drive times. Please remember to obey all the stop signs and speed limits in the area.

Project work hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Bridge crews between Klahanie Dr. SE and 247th continue to begin at 7:00 a.m., following the required health check-up. Road crews between 242nd and 247th continue to start at 7:30 a.m., following the required health check-up.

  • The roundabout at SE Issaquah-Beaver Lake Rd./256th Ave. SE/SE 32nd St/E Beaver Lake Dr. SE is operational. Only final touch-ups are remaining, which are being scheduled once all the parts arrive. The sidewalk around the intersection will be replaced this month. The work will include relocating existing ramps and placement of new concrete and curb in around the roundabout to better improve access for pedestrians to the crossing locations.
  • Construction of the bridge in underway. The contractor has completed the columns for each of the bridge sections. Next, the contractor will begin work on the top concrete caps that connect each of the columns. Once those are complete, the bridge girders will be delivered to the site for installation. The girders are expected to begin delivery in 2 weeks.
  • Between 242nd and 247th Ave. SE, traffic has been shifted to the south side of the roadway.Work continues along the north half of the roadway in this area. The contractor and the utility companies will be working on relocations in these limits. Grading work and concrete curb and sidewalk placement will continue through July. The contractor will continue to work in the intersection of 247th Ave. SE near the middle school. Placement of asphalt is expected to occur at the end of July.

  • Construction of the bridge has begun. So far all of the underground shafts have been completed. The contractor is currently verifying the installation of the drilled shafts and will start constructing upward out of the ground. The area is closed to the public.
