Below is your three week look-ahead for 9/25 - 10/16

Update as of 10/16:

Issaquah-Fall City Road remains closed for construction. Local access will be maintained during the closure. The closure between 247th Place SE and Klahanie Dr. SE is still on schedule to last through the end of December 2020.

  1. Construction of the bridge is underway and on schedule to complete in December. The contractor is continuing to work on the bridge understructure by installing the concrete diaphragms between the beams (Small wall connections).
  2. Construction of the retaining walls and bridge approaches on the east and west side of the bridge is currently being built.
  3. Between 242nd and 247th Ave. SE, traffic remains on the south side of the roadway. Work continues along the north half of the roadway in this area. The contractor is installing the concrete sidewalk along the north side and placing concrete in the median islands.
  4. The contractor is also installing a new water main between 242nd and 247th in conjunction with this project.
  5. PSE is expected to lower their gas main at the intersection of 242nd in the early part of November, once completed the remaining utilities can be lowered and the contractor can resume construction of the roundabout.
  6. With the daylight hours shortening in the fall and winter, the contractor is expected to work on the occasional Saturdays to take advantage of daylight hours, weather and keep on schedule.

Please note that during peak delays, using the project detour route, Issaquah Beaver Lake Road to Issaquah Pine Lake Road, may result in shorter drive times. Please remember to obey all the stop signs and speed limits in the area.

Daytime Project work hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday Work Hours 9:00 a.m. – 6 p.m.

During the week of September 28, the contractor will be finishing the current phase of placing asphalt along the north half of the site and at the intersection of 242nd, 247th, and Klahanie Drive and Issaquah Fall City Road, as well as the intersection of SE 46th. The work is weather dependent; sunny days next week should allow the asphalt pavement to be done. There will be more construction traffic through the site as a result.
